| How do I find the battery I’m looking for? |
The first thing you should do is to look after the product name (for example Canon Luxus) or the battery name (for an example NB-2L) as it usually is written on the battery. You can use the search function to the left to find your battery. On the battery you can gather voltage (V), capacity (mAH or AH) and the chemical construction (cell) for example Li-ion, Ni-Mh or Ni-Cd. [To the top] |

| What’s the difference between Li-ion, Ni-Mh and Ni – Cd? |
| Li-ion (Lithium Jon) is one of the newer battery types. Li-ion batteries are one of the lighter batteries and give better capacity in terms to its weight than other similar battery types. This battery (Li-ion) has no known difficulties with memory effect and does not need be fully charged. Normally a Li-ion battery is able to manage approximately 500 and have 2-3 years The batteries can be charged. Ni – Mh (Nickel Metal Hydride) is the most common battery type. This type of battery has a very small memory effect which means they need to be more maintained than li-ion batteries. Ni-Cd (Nickel Cadmium) is one [To the top] |

| For how long can I film with my new battery? |
It’s hard to say. It depends how long you use it. [To the top] |
| |
| How do I take care of my battery? |
Your new battery will be delivered uncharged. You need to charge it a few times before it reaches its full capacity. A Ni-Cd or a Ni-Mh battery needs to be charged once a month. If you are not going to use the battery for a while, store it fully charged in room temperature and charge it once a month so it will not lose its full capacity. [To the top] |
| |
| Can I use my older Ni-Cd charger for newer Ni-Mh batteries? |
It depends on what kind of charger you have. We recommend a Ni-Mh charger for best use. [To the top] |

| What’s a battery? |
An electrochemical battery - or, more precisely, a "cell" - is a device in which the reaction between two substances can be made to occur in such a way that some of the chemical energy is converted to useful electricity. When the cell can only be used once, it is called a "primary" cell. When the chemical reaction can be reversed repeatedly by applying electrical energy to the cell, it is called a "secondary" cell and can be used in an accumulator or "storage" battery. [To the top] |
